How We Met

How_we_metWe met in May 2003 on an online dating site. Rich saw Albert’s profile and was immediately drawn to his adorableness. Rich made the first move, and after emailing back and forth a few times, we had our first date. We discovered that we had been at the same college for four years but never met each other! Well, thanks to the internet we finally ended up meeting and have been inseparable ever since.

In September 2004, we took a road trip in the American southwest, driving through some of the most gorgeous landscapes of California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. On the side of a lonely stretch of highway in Utah, Rich proposed to Albert in front of the setting sun. Albert accepted, tears were shed, and we celebrated that night by eating hot dogs and camping out in near-freezing temperatures (our tent froze overnight)!

We celebrated our legal marriage in September 2005, with our parents walking us down the aisles.
